Fumesy Jar and Wax Recycling Program
At Fumesy, we are committed to sustainability and reducing waste. Our eco-friendly candle recycling program encourages customers to return used candle jars and leftover wax, which we recycle responsibly. This initiative is part of our broader mission to minimize our environmental footprint and give a new life to our products.
How It Works
- Customers can return used Fumesy candle jars and leftover wax for recycling. We accept all sizes and types of Fumesy-branded products.
- You can either ship your materials back to us or drop them off at designated recycling points (see below for details).
To ensure efficiency and reduce carbon footprint, a minimum of 2 jars or 1 lb of wax is required per shipment.
Jars must be in good condition (free from cracks or major chips) to be reused. Lightly damaged jars may still be accepted but may receive fewer Sparks rewards.
- Customers receive Fumesy Sparks for every jar and wax returned. Sparks can be redeemed for discounts on future purchases, exclusive products, or other perks.
- Rewards vary based on the condition of the returned items:
- Perfect condition jars: Full Sparks.
- Lightly damaged jars: Reduced Sparks.
- Severely damaged jars: Accepted for recycling but earn no Sparks.
Please ensure jars are securely packaged with padding, and leftover wax is sealed in leak-proof bags to prevent damage or spills during transport. Non-compliance may result in loss of rewards.
- Free Shipping Labels: Customers returning 5 or more jars or 2 lbs of wax will receive a prepaid shipping label.
- Return Label Expiration: Prepaid shipping labels expire after 30 days, and a new one will need to be requested if not used.
- Small Returns: Customers sending fewer than 5 jars or less than 2 lbs of wax will be responsible for return shipping costs.
- Maximum Returns: To prevent system abuse, there is a limit of 20 jars or 10 lbs of wax per customer per month.
We periodically hold local recycling events where customers can drop off jars and wax in person. These events offer extra Sparks and educational workshops on sustainability.

For quality control, we can only accept Fumesy-branded wax for recycling. Non-Fumesy wax will be responsibly disposed of, but no Sparks will be awarded.
Program Tiers and Benefits
To recognize our most eco-conscious customers, we offer three tiers in the recycling program:
- Bronze Tier: Recycle 1-5 jars per year and earn a 5% discount on one future purchase.
- Silver Tier: Recycle 6-10 jars or more than 2 lbs of wax per year and earn a 10% discount on two future purchases and access to exclusive products.
- Gold Tier: Recycle 10+ jars or over 5 lbs of wax per year, earning a 15% discount on three future purchases, free shipping for one year, and invites to exclusive events.
Eco-Incentives and Donation Option
Carbon-Neutral Shipping
- To further reduce our environmental impact, Fumesy offers carbon-neutral shipping for all recycling returns.
Donation Instead of Sparks
- Customers can choose to donate the value of their Sparks to an environmental charity or sustainability initiative that we support. Donation records will be published in our Quarterly Recycling Impact Reports.

- Do I need to clean the jars before returning them?
No need to clean the jars, but removing excess wax is appreciated. We will handle the sterilization process.
- Can I recycle non-Fumesy jars or wax?
At this time, we only accept Fumesy-branded jars and wax. Non-Fumesy items will be responsibly disposed of but won’t earn Sparks.
- How do I track my Sparks from recycling?
Your Sparks will be credited to your account within 7 business days after receiving your returned items.
Transparency and Impact Reporting
To maintain transparency, Fumesy will publish Quarterly Recycling Impact Reports showing the total amount of recycled material, jars repurposed, and the environmental impact of the program. These reports will be available on our Sustainability & Social Impact Page.
Terms and Conditions
- Geographic Restrictions: The program is currently only available in the United States. We are working to expand internationally.
- Recycling Fraud: Any attempt to return non-Fumesy products fraudulently may result in disqualification from the program and suspension of your Fumesy account.
- Program Modifications: Fumesy reserves the right to modify or discontinue this program at any time. Changes will be communicated via the website and email.
